Building Bello for people who deliver real work
Hi, I'm Shay. I founded Bello because I got tired of consultants who show up to look useful rather than be useful. I'm a commercial and procurement consultant with 14 years of experience across major infrastructure, education, health and energy projects. I've worked on Crossrail, Network Rail, HS1, TfL and managed portfolios worth hundreds of millions for clients like the Department for Education, Ministry of Defence and UKHSA. I've worked on both sides, as an embedded resource in public bodies and as a consultant supporting delivery from the outside. From delivering £100m digital infrastructure programmes to helping SMEs win their first public contracts, I focus on practical solutions that actually work. This isn't theory for me, it's what I care about and how I work.
We are Bello
Bello exists for people trying to deliver real work under pressure, with limited support and not enough time. Our team includes commercial advisors, procurement specialists, project managers, analysts and former contractors. Different backgrounds, shared approach: we show up, work out what's broken and fix it. We don't pad teams or disappear into strategy slides. We get to work.
What we believe
Results over reports
We don’t write documents that sit on shelves. We create practical outputs that unlock decisions, funding, or delivery.

Partnership over hierarchy
We work alongside you. Your success is our success. We embed with your team and share the challenges.
Book a consultation
Clarity over cleverness
If we can't explain it simply, we probably don't understand it well enough. We communicate in plain English, not consultant speak.
See our approach
Quality over scale
We stay small and focused rather than growing for the sake of it. You get experienced people, not junior consultants learning on your time.

Ready to work differently?
Most people we work with didn't know exactly what they needed when they first called. That's completely fine. Let's have a conversation about what's not working and whether we can help fix it.
